Seattle, WA - Dr. Nicholas Bird, MD, has been recognized by the Global Directory of Who's Who for his outstanding contributions to the field of hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Bird is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Hyperbaric Medicine physician, with a primary board-certification in family medicine.
Dr. Bird's received his MD at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. His residency in Family Medicine at Southwest Washington Medical Center. He then when into the Air Force and competed his fellowship in Vancouver, Washington.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bird has remained actively engaged in the field of hyperbaric medicine, both clinically and through service with the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS). His dedication and contributions have earned him multiple roles within the UHMS, including the presidency.
Dr. Bird is a fellow of the UHMS (FUHM) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP). His commitment to excellence in hyperbaric medicine was recognized with the Excellence in Diving Medicine award by the UHMS in 2021. Dr. Bird is also certified as both a UHMS Examiner of Divers and a FAA Aviation Medical Examiner.
In addition to his achievements in medicine, Dr. Bird is a veteran of the US Air Force, having served for 3 years and achieving the rank of Major. He was recognized for his service with the Meritorious Service Medal. We would like to thank Dr. Bird for his service to our country.
